Fall 2024-Spring 2025: Madison’s Westside

Applications for Fall 2024 are now closed. Stay tuned for next season!

The American church is in the midst of a period of great contextual change, and through the eyes of faith, believers affirm that God is in the midst, actively engaged with human history and by the Spirit is inviting the church to join the “new thing” that God is doing.
— Christopher James, Church Planting in Post-Christian Soil
  • Neighborhood Catalysts are a 8-month cohort experience for Dane County church pastors and ministry leaders looking to explore their unique neighborhood context, collaborate with other church leaders, and deepen ongoing relationships and partnership with those serving in their unique part of the city. Our vision is to cultivate networks of ecumenical friendship, deep understanding of context and collaboratively loving our neighbors.

  • There is one gathering per month September through April. Our time is split between large group and small group coaching. Cohorts meet on Thursdays, 9-1pm.

    September 19th 9-1pm
    October 7-8th (Overnight Retreat)
    November 14th 9-1pm
    December 12th 9-1pm
    January 9th 9-1pm
    February 13th 9-1pm
March 8th 9-3pm Kingdom Justice Summit
    April 10th 9-1pm

For October and March, the gatherings are substituted by an overnight retreat (October 7-8) and the Kingdom Justice Summit.

  • We meet monthly for a time of connection, learning, co-discerning and collaboration. This time will include learning from local leaders, strategic time with coaches, and co-discernment and collaboration with peers on mission together in our neighborhoods.

    We:

cultivate sustaining friendships among peers in local ministry and mission

build relationships with coaches and neighborhood leaders

deepen habits of deep engagement in your neighborhood as a context for mission

identify and develop skills for leading new initiatives in your neighborhood

discern areas of collaboration for church leaders, congregations, neighborhood nonprofits and community members

  • This 8-month cohort costs $149 per person. This money goes towards supplies, space rentals, and food. However, if you are able and willing to host a gathering, the cost for the program will be discounted to $89.

After being accepted, you will be directed to pay at collaborationproject.us/register

  • Collaboration Project staff Jon and Abbie will lead this program and bring in local leaders to share their expertise and insights. Here you can find who is participating in the program.
