Holding the city in prayer

Collaboration Project’s mission is to foster collaboration between churches for good of our community to the glory of God and the flourishing of all people. Since founding, the primary way this mission was accomplished was by gathering groups of people together to share best practice, encourage one another, and seek out ways to work together in service to the most vulnerable around us.
Then March began and everything changed.
When COVID-19 overturned our way of living, it was no longer possible to come together in person. The Madison area entered into an unprecedented time marked by uncertainty, fear, and very real hardship for many. It is in the midst of these dark times that Collaboration Project believes the church has an opportunity to be a light. They believe that one way the church can serve the broader community is by coming together in prayer.
It is that conviction that led to the first United Prayer: For the Good of Our City (online) event on Wednesday, March 25th. Throughout the day different local pastors facilitated a time of praying for our community in a variety of ways. The March event reached over 10,000 people and helped launch a monthly United Prayer day. So far, pastors from 16 different local congregations have helped to lead the broader Christian church in times of prayer for our community.
Collaboration Project believes there is power in prayer and encouragement found when diverse Christians are united in prayer for the good of our city. The next United Prayer: For the Good of the City is Wednesday, May 27th.
